At Eastside, we believe that serving is the natural overflow of discipleship, serving those inside and outside the church. One of the ways we live out our faith is through volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in joining a serve team at Eastide, here’s how you can get started:
Browse through our available serve areas. | This will give you an idea of where help is needed, and also assist you in locating an area of interest where you can volunteer. A general list of serve opportunities can be found below.
Talk to your small group leader about serving. | They can share more with you about what it’s like to volunteer at Eastside, and help you find the perfect place to get involved.
Contact our Volunteer Coordinator. | If you have questions about specific areas of service, or if you need help getting connected, email Chastity Ray at email@example.com.
Fill out a background check form. | Because safety is extremely important to us, all volunteers are asked to complete a background check. For your convenience, digital forms can be found below.
Volunteers in our Childrens’ area minister to our birth – 5th graders during weekend services through worship, telling stories and teaching the truth of God’s Word. They check in kids, lead classrooms, provide assistance to classroom teachers or help lead during the large group worship time. We have nursery, preschool and elementary school ministries available during all three of our Sunday worship services.
Volunteers in our Middle School ministry get the opportunity to create relationships with students and minister to them through the teaching of Scripture, worship and intentional discipleship. They help set up events, greet students, supervise outings and lead small groups. Middle School services take place during all three of our Sunday worship services. In addition, Middle school small groups meet on Wednesday evenings.
Volunteers on the Production team keep things running smoothly during our weekend services and at events so that our attendees have a great experience. They run the lighting and sound boards, control the media slides for the projectors, operate our video camera to record the message, provide stage support before, during and after services and set up for services and events.
Volunteers in the Worship Arts department use their gifts and abilities to minister to the church body through artistic expressions of worship. They play an instrument or sing on the worship team, help record and edit special videos, assist in stage design and construct special projects for sermon visual aids or series-themed decor.

Volunteers in this area are some of the first people our attendees come in contact with at weekend services. They greet people before services, help people find seats, direct traffic, drive the church van, work in the cafe serving refreshments, assist newcomers in the Next Step area and much, much more.
Volunteers on our Facilities team serve behind the scenes. They help us take care of the church building and grounds and keep things looking and working great. They help maintain the campus, prep for services and events, and help with special projects where needed.
If you are interested in a specific area of ministry and would like to be contacted with more information, please submit an information request and we will be in touch with you soon: VOLUNTEER INFORMATION REQUEST FORM
